A fine disappearing act

Ok, so...something strange happened this evening. Emily and I were about to settle down and watch the newest episode of Degrassi: The Next Generation. She went to check on the small pets in the laundry room and a couple of minutes later, I heard her say, "Adam, I think we have a problem". I got up and went into the other room, not really knowing what to expect. When I got there, I saw Emily...she was staring, with a dumbfounded expression on her face, staring at the hamster cage. She slowly motioned to the cage and I said, "Ok...so what's the problem...?" She said, "Where's Theo?" I slowly began to realize that the hamster cage, which was completely sealed, with no openings whatsoever, was completely empty.

We have a disappearing hamster. We searched the cage and the room, both of which remain closed at all times. The cage was completely intact...there were no escape routes and no holes had been chewed in it; There were also no cracks where he could have slipped through. The laundry room was the same story. There were no holes in the wall and no other conceivable was he could have escaped...weird.

Earlier in the evening, Emily and I went to Dave and Buster's for the first time for dinner and video games and I must say it was a hoot n' a holler. We left with tummies full of food (and beverages such as the "Banana's Foster Martini" and the "Frozen Grasshopper") and a grand total of 2984 tickets from the game room...not a bad evening...we only need 4000 more tickets to redeem them for a copy of Guitar Hero II for the PS2, or 57,000 more tickets (no joke) for the thirteen inch LCD television.

In other news, Emily and I went and saw one of the greatest bands ever the other day, whose drummer is an acquaintance of mine (I used to play in a band with his bass playing wife). The band is Ethan and The Ewox...be sure to check them out at www.ethannoise.com

That's all for tonight, it's late and I have a very looooong several days ahead of me.
